Ed Knoblock founded Pulse Performance Training in February 2014. He is a Certified Special Strengths Coach through the esteemed Westside Barbell and holds a Bachelors degree from Northern Michigan University.
Coach K employs a results-driven approach to training and program design, leveraging the fundamental principles of physics, mathematics, and biomechanics. His ability to connect with clients is deeply rooted in his experiences as a collegiate football player, where he had a successful and decorated career, albeit accompanied by notable challenges.
During his senior year, Ed suffered a season-ending knee injury, including a torn meniscus and a 50% tear of his ACL, which led to a medical redshirt. Opting out of surgery, he chose to play with a partially torn ACL and designed his own rehabilitation program. His recovery was successful, impressing NFL scouts and allowing him to return the following season at full capacity, leading his team in tackles. However, in his final game, his remaining ACL ruptured, shifting his focus from a professional football career to an intense pursuit of education and self-improvement.
In the aftermath, Coach Knoblock sought guidance from leading experts in the field, further refining his knowledge of athletic performance. His passion for self-optimization seamlessly transitioned into a commitment to helping others achieve their fullest potential. The lessons drawn from both his successes and setbacks were synthesized into the founding of Pulse Performance Training in February 2014. The organization has been successfully built on the principles of passion, integrity, and a relentless dedication to excellence in the fitness community for the last 11 years.
